After a very hard term, I will finally be finishing up not this coming week but the next week. Hopefully my tax class will lead to a job, but that won't really get going until next year. That means I should finally have more free time. Which means I can begin writing again.
Hopefully, my muse will return to me as well. Stress and sickness have made it hard to turn ideas into words. I have an idea, but the time I have tried to write have had me stare at a blank page or writing something out only to feel dissatisfied with it. Even with this week off, I've been under stress to complete a group project by myself because my partner has dropped off the face of the earth. I've hated this term.
Anyway, my idea is getting back to the idea of G1 was: a small enclave of ponies in a largely unknown world. The idea is ponies have been drawn from their world which is much like Equestria if not Equestria to another world.

The term is over and successful. So, back to the writing desk.
The idea I'm working on is a group of ponies awake in a strange castle. They at first thing the castle and valley are in Equestria somewhere. However, they witness a violent thunderstorm where chunks of ice fall from the sky. The castle is also sitting above a complex with advanced technology. After the storm passes, they discover the planet has rings and two moons many they're on another world. When the explore the surrounding area, they run across a meeting between a human and harpy and intervene on behalf of the human when the harpy tries to double cross him. This act embroils the ponies in an adventure.
