I'm not sure what they're doing with Fluttershy. She has finally been coming out of her shell this season, and she withdrew perhaps farther than she ever had in this episode.

I'm not sure what to think of this latest episode. It's a Discord episode which should be license to be funny, but it really wasn't. I get that was the point, but it still made the episode kind of a bore. Discord wasn't all that funny and I found the constant laughing a tad obnoxious. I'm wondering if Discord is starting to wear out as a character. Having him turn into random references only gets you so far.
Also, the joke where he didn't get it was a joke too far. First, what Twilight did could be explained on a bumper sticker. Second, Discord was teaching Twilight something important. I was so glad they allowed Twilight to feel something and have to address it. But they killed it because they had to get that one joke in.

I agree. If it's a discord episode make him create chaos or something

He did create chaos, but it was off screen. The whole point was while Twilight was sorting her books because she could, her friends were with Discord and something random happened that Discord was able to make hilarious.
My guess is Discord was turning the apples into oranges at the farm when they saw a stick or hose that they thought was a snake. Then when they had lunch Discord stepped into a jar of peanut butter. I would have liked to see how that played out and how Discord handled it. But no, the point was to relate with Twilight who is frankly a boring character.

Another bore of an episode. Twilight, even with something to do, you're still pathetic.

Hooffields and mccolts was a good episode. Just goes to show you that fighting doesn't just affect you but others as well. But I agree it was boring

Simpler continues to be better. This episode was definitely better than the past two. Wasn't trying to be funny. Was just about the characters and their conflict.
All that's left is the finale.

I agree the episode was great. I loved it. Now see Hasbro a good episode can be simple and to the point. Anyway I'm ready for the season finale. It's gonna be great I can tell. I mean starlight glimmer is a great villain. She's right up there with the Dazzlings, nightmare moon and Discord (Before the last episode). Hey this means I can do my thoughts on every episode of season 5 and I'm excited to do that

And the season ends with Starlight Glimmer being redeemed and possibly becoming a new main character? Oh please let that be the case. We need some fresh blood.

I'm liking these episodes so far. Watching part 1. I'm impressed Hasbro. This two part episode is really really good. Has a good villain too. Also zecora turned into doc brown at one point. Okay I agree Al she needs to be a regular. Love the season finale. Better than last season
