So...this question is mostly for anyone here who's European because I don't think this show is really available in America...
Has anyone ever heard of School for Vampires/Die Schule der kleinen Vampire/Scuola di Vampiri? And if you have, do you know ANYWHERE on the internet where I can actually FIND it, with English subs or dubs? There are, like, six subbed/dubbed episodes on Youtube. Six! Out of dozens! Six!
The rest of the internet is failing me, too. Why is this show so under-appreciated??? *headdesks*
For those of you who aren't familiar with this show but want to know more...
I recently discovered it through my grandparents' Italian channel. I don't speak Italian (yet), but I was intrigued! The artwork is cute, as are the characters. The show revolves around a school of vampires (surprising, I know), where students learn all about flying and the nutritional values of different blood types.
Our hero is an adorable young vampire named Oskar. Oskar, aside from being adorable, is also afraid of blood and tends to faint whenever he sees it. He's also in love with a human girl named Sunshine. Who doesn't believe in vampires. And whose grandfather is a vampire hunter. They have garlic ALL OVER THEIR HOUSE. XD
There is also Fletcher/Stoker (depending what language you're watching in), who is an annoying little jerk who's intent on being the greatest vampire ever.
And Gruftine/Gotthina, the token girl who's also smart. Not to mention sensible.
And little Klot, who has a giant hat and looks absolutely snuggle-able.
And Tinto/Leachy, the token genius kid.
And Ashley! Who was a partyer and a great fighter, but that didn't do him much good when he stayed up until sunrise and got turned into a pile of...well, ash!
And then there are their teachers, two of whom are apparently shout-outs to Bram Stoker's Dracula. And the castle caretaker, who is the only one of them who wasn't born as a vampire, and thus gets a little morose around his bite-day.
And it's all good fun and they're all adorable and they drink blood and they turn into bats and they're weakened by garlic and they disintegrate in sunlight and they DON'T SPARKLE and they're pretty much PROPER VAMPIRES, albeit cute ones.
Thank you, Germany, for going back to these monsters' roots and doing them right.
NOW WHY CAN'T I FIND IT IN ENGLISH?!?
