Just a topic in which we all share our Little Pony memories. I started watching the G1 MLP when I was a wee lad of I don't know how old. It all started with Rescue from Midnight Castle. I was initially turned off by the premise of precious wittle ponies, but then, as we all know, the special was actually pretty kickass. You?

I, too, started watching it when aired on the Disney channel in the late 90's. I enjoyed it a lot. When I got onto the internet, I discovered fan fiction.

I grew up on MLP. I watched it first when it came out when I was really little. Then I found Transformers, and lost interest for a while. MLP is one of my undying passions.

I was just a bit too young for the Disney reairings. My sister had tapes of a good chunk of the first series original broadcasts and we'd watch them together, starting around 1996. I thought they were silly and kinda icky for having ponies, but I remember liking the monsters and adventure. I largely forgot about pony until FiM started up and I got into G4. Then I figured earlier pony was worth a look because I gave that chance to FiM and there had to be good episodes. Plus, I was tired of the constant bashing from a lot of Bronies which I thought was hypocritical because they said the same thing about Friendship is Magic before they gave it a chance and changed their minds.
So when I started G1 I realized I'd seen a lot of these and had a bit of a nostalgia bomb as I remembered bits and pieces and had a lot of fun finding new episodes I hadn't seen. Then I moved on to Tales which I don't quite like as much, but it's still a solid slice of life cartoon and then to G3. From all the negativity, I thought it would be scrap, but unexpectedly fell in love with it's cute charm. So now I'm a general My Little Pony fan and try to defend it from Bronies and haters alike as it's so small compared with the flood of g4 fans.

When it first premiered. Don't remember the channel. Wasn't Disney. It was some other channel. This was when mlp and friends was on. You know when they had other shows paired with it.

Yes. It was at a friend's house. I actually have some mlp and friends DVDs. If only they'd bring DVDs out of mlp and friends with the old cartoons that was paired with it. I know the potato head kids was 1 of them. I remember watching it once and thought "Hey this show is awesome." 1 of the episodes was "Escape from Catrina". That episode and "The golden horseshoes" were my favorite. "Escape from Catrina" to this day has 3 of my favorite songs especially " Dressed like a dream" and "Let's not take a nap". All were good but those were my favorite. I catch myself singing these songs

It's possible I caught them on Saturday mornings in the late 80's. I think the most common episode shown in my country was Escape from Catrina. I remember watching a few repeats of it and being disappointed that no other episodes were played. I got the most out of G1 from watching videos. The most popular episode on almost every video I had, was Sweetstuff and the treasure hunt. For that reason, I became sick of watching it! Why, why that episode? They could have mixed it up and used Pony Puppy sometimes. I hadn't heard of MLP Tales until I saw a video had come out in Woolworths. That introduced me to it.
