There will be a season four. Look for it winter 2014.
Personally, I think it is time to let FIM go. Season Three started out with a bang, then petered out into a dismal failure. Twilicorn was a pathetic attempt to try to liven up the ratings. Hasbro, it is dead and it wont come back, no matter how many times you whip it.

Yeah I agree. It had a good run.

Think I could sell them my series? They won't give me permission to make it myself.
We should wait and see what season 4 brings. I know Hasbro has the episode 65 curse like you wouldn't believe. However, they could impress us.

If worst comes to worst, it sucks and will join Transformers, G.I. Joe, Beast Machines, and Transformers Energon as shows Hasbro kept going for too long.
I'm personally hoping Sunset Shimmer will indeed be a part of the show. We could use a new personality to interact with the others.

We don't talk about Transformers Energon. Its main problem was bad dubbing, and Kicker. The writing could have been improved. I see it like a piece of coal that could easily become a diamond with a little TLC, and a complete overhaul of the storyline. It did have a few shining moments such as Optimus and Galvatron's final battle done in beautifully handdrawn form. We consider TF Energon our experiment with different animation technigues, and allowing the animators to drink on the job.
Hasbro has turned out gems before such as TF Prime. Hopefully Hasbro has finally learned that it can't expect a show to survive on slice of life only.

Hopefully, with the main character a princess, more adventure and exploration awaits. It's not like they've exhausted the possibilities of Equestria and beyond. However, I do think Ponyville is getting rather old.
Also, the reason I really hope Sunset Shimmer is becoming a part of the group, the main characters are becoming a click where it's just them which is when friendship becomes unhealthy. They never show the ponies having friends outside of the Mane 6.

"Knows a magical path to faraway adventures." I'm guessing she's the one sending them to the 'human world'.

I wonder if Equestria Girls will be an interlude thing like that stupid arc in Yu-Gi-Oh where they had to face the Execs of Evil.

Except it wasn't a failure at all. I found most of S3 to be very good and I look forward S4.
