 My story, Royal Destiny, is a fanfiction about the gen2 ponies, set in my own world with mostly my own ponies. The story is divided into five parts. The first and second parts are now done, called Princess Awakening and The True Heir. I am currently working on the fourth part, The goddess and the mortal. Every part will have between 60 and 110 chapters. Princess Awakening had 107, The True Heir had 93, and RotG is currently on 70, but this can still change any day. The 4th and 5th parts will both have around 60 chapters. For those who are new to this story: It follows the Royal House of a small, hidden country. When princess Ivy finds out her country's residents are the only surviving members of what once was the greatest country in the continent, her whole life changes. Then, her long lost sisters Crystal and Twinkle Star show up, and we follow them into a quest to rediscover who they really are, and what they can once again become. Wow, nice website! And impressive how much you've got written. It sounds interesting, so I'll definately check it out. :] I've started the first chapter--may I make one suggestion? I notice the paragraphs have a double space between them sometimes, and that makes it much easier on my eyeballs to follow. The dialouge, however, does not have that, so maybe just break of the dialouge in the same way? Every new dialouge line is considered a new paragraph, grammatically, so putting the paragraph space between them would make them easier to tell who's speaking. That's just a suggestion, of course, and might not be something you want or can do with the site--but it was just what my brain noticed first.  Look forward to reading it.  |

Thanks, Marbletoast! As for your suggestion: later on in the story, after about... 12 chapters I think, I made the paragraphs a lot shorter (like 4-5 lines each), making it a lot easier to read (IMO, at least ). Maybe you can look at that (just pick any of the last episodes of part 3 or whatever, and glance over them) to see if it is better for you as well? You do remind me I really need to get my act together and reupload more chapters on the new website format ^^' As for part 4: it's coming! I just need to have everything figured out before I start writing  |

Yep, it was swine flu! But that's okay, it was way less bad than a normal flu I had back in january, so...
Should get back to writing soon, still trying to catch up on work and school related stuff!

I finally read through the first three bits of part one! I know that took me forever to get back to. @_@ But now that work is over, I have some time off. Yay! Poor Ivy and Fleur! The revelation of what happened took me by surprise--I'd been trying to figure out what had happened, but I didn't guess right, ha ha. Nice set up and building to the little mini-cliamax. I definately have to see where it goes from here! There were some grammatical and spelling slips, but I figured with 280 chapters and still more coming, you weren't planning on going back and doing the fine editing just yet. Only one really big thing stood out: you mention at one point that Ivy's mother was pregnant with her and her father never knew, and then later we learn that Ivy's father had known her. Did you mean Fleur? Did I read it wrong? Might have just been because it's nearly one in the morning... Anyway, fun (well, sad at the moment, but...) story! And...wow, I'm impressed you have written so much! I never seem to push myself quite that far in a story. xD |
