The new series will be here in 2015! Meet Bumblebee. This is not the final version. We have yet to decide if we will go with CGI or regular animation. We have a bigger budget and we will have more characters. Bumblebee is the new leader of a team of Autobots and is the center of the storyline much as Optimus was the center of the TFP storyline. We will not likely see Starscream as he was killed by predacons. We also may not see Optimus ether as he sacrificed himself to restore Cybertron. (Unless Hub and Hasbro both agree to my idea by making Optimus the new Primus.) If everything goes well, I will be one of the writers, not a ghost writer, but an actual writer, of the series. In other news, Rescue Bots has begun its second season, and I have been asked to submit a script for an episode. I chose to focus on OP's death and how it will affect the Rescue Bots. This is a difficult piece to do as death is not something normally seen in a show aimed at young children. I will do my best.

Neat. I like the idea of Optimus being the new Primus. It would be a way to keep him in the show (because we've all seen what happens to Transformers when it doesn't have him) and perhaps a place the Autobots can go to obtain knowledge.
With Megatron out of the oppression business, who will be the enemy in this series?

So is this a sequel to Prime or something? Will Bumblebee be able to talk in this series?

Bee will talk, and yes, it is a sequel. We may go the route of Engergon and start with a new oppressor.

By going the route of Energon, I mean use a new oppressor and bring Megatron in later. I'm not comparing them. While Energon was not great, I did like some of the storylines.

I just saw the latest two Rescue Bot episodes with Optimus Prime. It gives the sense OP knew he was not long for the world at this point in history.

I agree. It was eerie to hear him say that.

I saw Age of Extinction over the weekend. They tried, I'll give them that. Kade Yeager and his daughter and her boyfriend are a major step up from Sam and the putz squad surrounding him. Kruger still can't write small talk to save his life, but it was a little less facepalming than the last three movies. The movie also still put too much focus on the human main characters, but not to the degree as the last three.
We're also introduced to a possible narrative that will carry through this block of movies. The transformers' creators intended to destroy a city to produce the raw materials transformers are made of. However, we don't see them. They're instead working through Lockdown who serves as the villain of the movie a C.I.A. agent bent on ridding the world of all transformers regardless of faction supporting him.
Humans have also discovered what this raw material is and how to use it to make their own transforming technology. Unfortunately they're hunting down and killing transformers to get it. The man-made transformers are supposedly superior technology but lack sparks. Megatron also hacked them and possessed a new body named Galvetron that actually voiced by Frank Welker.
Optimus Prime's mood towards humans has also soured. He was almost killed by the transformer hunters and had to go into hiding. He's ready to let humanity get screwed this time as Autobots are almost extinct and it seems the Decepticons have been completely wiped out (Galvetron turns the man-made transformers into his army).
The things people complain about Michael Bay for also seemed to be minimized in this movie. The female lead spent most of the movie in cutoff short shorts, but wasn't focused upon as much as the previous female leads. The humor at the expense of minorities was noticeably less. Apparently Bay was so busy wrecking the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle he could inflict too much of his style on this movie.
Dinobots were cool though very late to the party. Swoop also has two heads and two tails for some reason.
However, the weakness still abound. As I said, there was still too much concentration on the human characters and their personal issues. I don't care. I didn't come here to watch a guy be a mother hen towards his daughter. The small talk was also still irritating even if not to the degree of previous movies.
There was also a new effect for the man-made Transformers where they broke into cubes and rearranged into their new form. The effect was cool at first, but seeing it over and over again got tiresome and the time they took doing this got ridiculous. I personally prefer the original way of transformation and hope this effect is dropped in future movies.
The Autobots featured were also rather weak. John Goodman just grumbled and cursed his way through the movie as Hound. However, I think that was the point. They were what's left and gave us the sense the Autobots were a shell of what they once were.
The movie was an okay matinee flick and shows promise of the future. Still, they just don't seem to learn a good Transformers movie needs to be about the Transformers.
And I'm still waiting for a Transformer that's a transformer.
On the Rescue Bot front Heatwave is now a triple changer with fire boat as his second alt mode. Dr. Morocco has also discovered what the REscue Bots are and are working of the rich lady who is this season's antagonist.
And the 4th of July will be Transformers Day as we get a marathon. I also heard once we're getting a sneak peak of the new series once. However, I haven't see it mentioned since in the ads.

At least they are improving little by little. I haven't seen it yet and can't wait for the DVD release.
