This is a small story from the UK G1 My Little Pony comic, specifically Issue 2. (Sadly I can't find Issue 1 right now, though I know it's around.) Also, the cover. And that's the end of the story--really! So what valuable lessons have we learned here? 1. Apple goblins are kind of creepy and will watch you as you sleep. 2. Blowing in a friend's ear is an acceptable way to wake them up. 3. Scaring your elders with haunted apples is a hilarious trick! Apparently the writers had it in for Applejack that issue . . . Here's another story from the same issue:

...Baby Firefly has a rather evil look on her face in the last panel. XD
I love how some of the pictures don't match up with their assigned words. And halfway through Baby Blossom and Baby Cotton Candy are replaced with Baby Firefly and Baby Moondancer. I guess they wanted to advertise as many ponies as possible?
But it's all rather cute, in a campy sort of way. ^_^
Oh, and much love for Spike's dorky expression in the cover picture. And with his arms like that...he actually kinda looks like a puppet. Poor Spike. XD

Am I the only expecting those goblins to suddenly start singing "I'm Mr. Green Christmas. I'm Mr. Sun..."?

Intresting comic. I always wonder how no any apples fells on G4 Applejack ever when she kicks the apple trees.

Baby Firefly does look rather demented!
Added another scan to the first post. Poor Applejack!

The writers really did have it out for A.J.
Do you have the issue where they meet the twinkle-eyed ponies? I've heard it's kind of epic.

Poor Applejack. XD I think the most valuable lesson here is to never piss off a unicorn. Looking at Majesty and Moondancer, it's safe to say that they are purveyors of cruel and unusual punishment. Those crab apples at the end are strangely adorable, though. XD Did anyone else notice how no one in that story ever SAID anything? They grinned, they admitted, they called, they begged. And they cried a LOT. But no one ever SAID.

Another favorite from the old collection. (UK bookstore in mall sold the UK comics I grew up with.) Love the crab apples!
