Finally a good episode with good singing. In fact I found just 3 flaws in this episode (That I could see anyway). So here we go.....


Bright Lights review (Or as I'd like to call it Michael Jackson meets my little pony because Knight Shade reminds me of good old MJ):


Part 1:


Part 1 opens up with a concert featuring Knight Shade. The baby ponies are all excited, so excited that Lickety-Split knocks Megan's ice cream cone out of her hand. That's one way to tell them to "Chill out" . She gets mad and the baby ponies promise to get another. Riiiiiiiiiggggghhhhtttt.

Megan goes with them to ensure they get it but instead of going with them when their near the concession stands she tells them she'll wait. Here's where the problem is. They're at a concert featuring the baby ponies' favorite singers and she thinks they'll be okay. WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THEY AREN'T GONNA JOIN KNIGHT SHADE ON TOUR!

Anyway the scene shifts to a zebra named Zeb. A zebra named Zeb *Hoof palms* Real creative there guys. He then sees the ponies and agrees to take them to Knight Shade. Knight Shade says he isn't gonna perform in this place anymore that week since they are gonna be gone that night. Zeb decides to have Knight Shade take them on a tour which to me back then I knew something was up.

Megan goes to find the ponies and when she comes to Knight Shade's trailer Zeb tells them a lie that they went home and Megan buys it. She then returns to the adults and tells them that the babies went back which makes Lickety-Split mad.

We then go back to the baby ponies where they make a deal with Zeb trying to tell them they are also great singers which makes them break out into them telling who's the better singer. Knight Shade then tells them to try singing together which gives us a sneak peek of the song to come. Zeb tells them their in.

Back to Megan and the gang which they find out they didn't go back to Paradise Estate *Gasps* BIG STINKING SURPRISE! And what's more Megan lost 3 baby ponies this time where as in "Escape from Catrina" she lost 1. If I were the adults I'd tell her "One more slip up and we may have to consider getting a better baby sitter". She tells the adults the babies are gone which gets the moms frantic. They form a search party and head back to the concert area which now is abandoned. They decide to go find them.

They make teams to go find them.

Back to the band the babies perform their song "Bright Lights" which is a damn good song for a bunch of babies. Take that Baby Lickety-Split. But of course this is a trap to take their shadows which they don't notice till they see they have no shadows.

Megan and the gang come to a town called Munstervaille. Its ran by a mouse mayor named Cab em Bear. They ask about Knight Shade and he pretends to not know about them and the follow him into a giant mousetrap which catches them.

Back with the babies they decide that it's time for them to take action. A couple of mice come and capture them as they do to end part 1.


Part 2:


Part 2 opens up with the babies trapped in a cage crying for their moms and about to give up hope when Heartthrob tells them not to.

The ponies also are still trapped and the mayor tells them that since they know Knight Shade they might be in leagues with him. Right. Megan then looks at 1 of the mice children and sees they cast no shadow which Galaxy goes into a speech Windwhistler would be proud of about how that's why they are sick because they feel empty inside. They convince Cab em Bear to let them go because their afraid this might be happening to their babies. Cab em Bear decides to go with them since the followers are some relatives and they might need help.

Back to the baby ponies who are worrying their little heads about not seeing Dream Valley again. This alerts the moms to their presence and they release them.

They go to Knight Shade's trailer where they see him and Zeb talking to a puff of smoke. Once Zeb leaves they go after Knight Shade. After awhile they capture him and pin him down. He then starts to cry and tells them he didn't want to do it. THEN WHY DID YOU DO IT IN THE FIRST PLACE!? He explains how a cloud named Arabus found him deep in the gutter and promised him fame and fortune. Unfortunately in return Zeb steals the ponies shadows of his hometown which is now known as Grayvaille.

He then tells them he had about enough by then but Zeb threatened him to take his shadow away if he didn't cooperate. FINALLY A PLOT THAT MAKES SENSE! He tells everyone he's sorry and Baby Heartthrob (Oh Lord) cries and agrees that he just was a misguided pony. They let him free. The reason why Arabus needs shadows is to keep him powered up because without it he'd wear out.

Oh my gosh. Another error? Come on what is wrong with the animators for this episode? We have had it up to here *Puts his hand up to his forehead* with errors. This time its the sheriff. As Cab em Bear agrees to help them we see its not the sheriff with him but a villager. Ugh. Good grief.

Knight Shade suggests going to Grayvaille to get help. The ponies living there are hiding till they see him and come out to ambush them (Insert "Thriller" theme here).

They tell him he has a lot of nerve returning there and tell him he'll be sorry he did. This next song fits perfectly since they want to get revenge on him. The name of the song is "We're gonna make you sorry". After the song they corner him ending part 2.


Part 3:


Part 3 opens up with them still being cornered and all hope seems lost till a figure stops them. It turns out to be Knight Shade's mom. She then tells them to leave but gives Knight Shade an earful for what he did.

We then cut to a house and see Arabus and Zeb seeing them coming to confront them but thinking he is bringing more shadows to steal. They go into a corny yet appropriate song for this scene "Nothing quite like shadows" which again is an awesome song and sang very well by the villains.

They then greet the group and Knight Shade after being told thanks tells Arabus no which makes him angry. Zeb steals more shadows and feeds it to Arabus but not before they wear him out from running after them. He of course had to find them in bushes.

They reconvene at a cave and talk about how he started to lose his power after awhile.

Back to Zeb and Arabus who still isn't at full power. He needs more shadows. He threatens to take Zeb's if he doesn't find more.

Back at the gang Megan sends Molly to get help which we will find out later who it is. They fly low as to not bring attention to themselves but the followers find them. They capture Molly and Zeb opens the satchel to steal her shadow which ends part 3.


Part 4:


Part 4 opens up to Molly being held captive while Zeb gets ready to steal her shadow. Lofty tries to stop him but the rats grab her. COME ON ZEB DO IT ALREADY IF YOU'RE GOING TO DO IT! But of course Lofty breaks free and they get out of there.

We then turn our attention to Megan who tries to convince the inhabitants of Grayvaille to help them out but they don't want to help a betrayer which means they are on their own to take Arabus down.... or are they?

They then lie in wait for Zeb and Arabus to come and they do come. Arabus gives Knight Shade one last chance to change his mind but his answer is still no. Knight Shade tries to get the satchel but is knocked away. He then steals Lickety-Split's shadow a lot quicker than he did with Molly. *Sighs* The rats flush out the others and Arabus knocks Knight Shade unconscious and Zeb takes his shadow as well.

Arabus is mad and threatens to take her shadow as well and says that no army in the world can stop him. We then hear a familiar sound coming from behind them and guess who it is? The flutter ponies. ALRIGHT! Molly came through. Megan tells him that's her army.

The flutter ponies break out into another awesome song that would have worked great for when they were fighting the Smooze "We are the flutter ponies". Despite his best efforts the flutter ponies are way to fast for him and they wear him out enough to where he's just a small cloud and all the shadows return to their owners. Even the Grayvaillians come to help to make up for what they said.

They put Zeb in chains and Molly comes back with Lofty the back way. Knight Shade once again apologizes but is told its okay and blushes.

They go to a concert held by Knight Shade and the baby ponies as they sing a song that would make Michael Jackson proud "Moonwalk ponies" which ends the episode.


Good points:


-Every and I mean every song was plot worthy
-Arabus was dark and forboding which makes for a good villain since "Rescue at Midnight Castle"
-THE FLUTTER PONIES ARE SEEN ONCE AGAIN! That's all I got to say.
-Bright lights was an awesome number after that awful song in the movie. Thank you Hasbro for finding the perfect actors for the baby ponies with great singing voices.
-Lickety-Split knocking an ice cream cone on their heads and saying "That should cool you off" was hilarious.


Bad points:


-Zeb was an idiot. He made the worst henchman ever because he kept delaying the stealing of the shadows when he had the chance.
-Megan leaving the baby ponies to get ice cream on their own was a big mistake. You'd think she'd learn her lesson after "Escape from Catrina"
-The error where the sheriff became a villager just was again stupid.


Above all it wasn't a bad episode. I give it a 9.8/10 It certainly was better than the Glass Princess.

Next up is one of my favorite standalone episodes of all time "Sweet Stuff and the Treasure hunt" which I am very glad to review since there's no errors and not a thing wrong with it .

Above all not a bad episode. It wasn't as bad as "The end of Flutter Valley" which you already know how I felt about that from my review. There were some bad parts but the good parts were plentiful. The episode gets a 7/10.

Before we begin let me tell you why I loved the episode I'm reviewing. Sweet Stuff and the bushwoolies. Their interactions with each other is cute. I also love the song in this episode. So here it is.


Sweet Stuff and the treasure hunt review:


The episode opens up to Sweet Stuff rolling in the grass and sees the bushwoolies playing and tells them it looks like fun. They try to jump over her but fail. She tells them that she has another game they can play which is tag.

The bushwoolies then ask her what tag is. She explains it to them and before she's done they run off. She then hears a squirrel who by the way hides her acorns in odd spots or maybe Sweet Stuff just was in the wrong place at the wrong time. The squirrel scolds Sweet Stuff for stepping on her acorns. This by the way happens twice. Sweet Stuff apologizes and asks her if she could help. The squirrel says no.

Sweet Stuff then tells her she'd like to play a game but the squirrel tells her she doesn't have time.

Sweet Stuff then comes to Fizzy looking in tall grass. Sweet Stuff asks her what's she's doing and Fizzy tells her their playing tag (Sorta). Sweet Stuff asks if she can play too and Fizzy agrees and tells all the unicorns to come out. Fizzy tells them Sweet Stuff wants to play and tells everyone she also wants to be it. Ribbon reads Sweet Stuff's mind and hears her think that she didn't say that. Ribbon points this out and Buttons agrees to be it.

Sweet Stuff tries to hide "Well excuse me" and here's that squirrel again. This time Sweet Stuff is laying on her acorns. She's so loud that Buttons finds her. Sweet Stuff is now it. She tries to find the unicorns but every time she sees one they wink out.

Gusty points out that hide and seek doesn't seem good for earth ponies. Buttons tells everyone there's a new rule to make it fair for Sweet Stuff which involves no winking out. Sweet Stuff being her usual sweet self says that this is okay and leaves and comes up to the sea ponies who wants her to play. Sweet Stuff points out she's not a good swimmer but Seaspray tells her she can play where she is.

Sweet Stuff cheers them on but gets knocked in the head with a polo ball and then knows she's being use a goalpost. Poor Sweet Stuff. She then heads back to paradise estate.

When she gets there Megan is planning a treasure hunt. She asks if Sweet Stuff would like to join but Sweet Stuff doesn't know and Megan insists and gives her the fastest partner Whizzer. Also there's one item that is just a riddle. "Something that is one even when there is many?" No one knows the answer.

Sweet Stuff tries and find some of the items but eventually decides to give up. By this time we hear cries of help before she heads back to paradise estate. Its the bushwoolies. She asks them how they got up in a tree and they tell her that Truly told them to go fly a kite after they ask if they can help. They apparently took it literally and flew a kite. Gosh those bushwoolies are stupid but cute. Sweet Stuff then goes below them and tells them to jump. Of course them being bushwoolies they do things together.

Sweet Stuff tells them to jump one by one since she can't catch them all at once. They don't understand so Sweet Stuff tells them not to go anywhere. Their stuck in a tree so they say they won't. Sweet Stuff comes back with a branch and has them slide down it which makes her realize that they're the last clue.

Back at Paradise Estate everyone has come back but Sweet Stuff. She shows up at the last minute and everyone asks why the bushwoolies are there. Megan points out that Sweet Stuff has figured out the last item and they all congratulate her.

The scene shifts to an ice cream party and Sweet Stuff tells them to dig in. Again they take things literally and jump in their bowls of ice cream. They get scolded by the others telling them its for eating not for playing in. Sweet Stuff tells them its okay to do things differently.

Sweet Stuff breaks out into a song called "Be glad you are who you are" which fits perfectly since this episode is all about being different is okay. We see some silly stuff like the bushwoolies playing with their ice cream and bouncing their bowls up to put them on their heads. Even Spike who tries to look like a pony. The song ends the episode.


Good points (And boy did I find quite a bit):


-The scenes with Sweet Stuff being her soft spoken self was cute. Even when she accidentally lays on acorns that a squirrel is gathering.
-Megan insisting on Sweet Stuff to join in the fun was great. It makes me wonder if she knew Sweet Stuff was down in the dumps.
-"Be glad you are who you are" fit so well. It had a good lesson as did the episode.
-Sweet Stuff figuring out the last riddle on her own was awesome.
-Sweet Stuff's interactions with the bushwoolies (Even though there's only 3 parts where they actually interacted) was cute.
-The running gag of Sweet Stuff standing or laying on the squirrel's acorns was funny.
-Spikes 5 seconds of fame was great.


Bad points (Can you believe I only found 2?):
-The rest of the ponies were jerks to Sweet Stuff. Even the sea ponies by making her the goalpost. Only characters who weren't were Megan and the bushwoolies.
-Windwhistler not being able to figure out the riddle for the last item. She's supposed to be smart.


Above all if you haven't watched this episode its a definite must. Its cute and relaxing. It gets a 9.9/10 just because of the ponies always being jerks and Windwhistler not being able to figure out the riddle for the last item. Other than that its a good episode.


Next up for my reviews is "The return of Tambelon" which is a great episode (Its right up there with Bright Lights on my favorite 4 parter).

Before we begin this review I have to admit something that when I was a kid when this episode was on I'd change the channel because of 1 thing: Grogar to me was scary. Looking back on this episode today he's scary but not as scary as I thought he was. So here we go.


Return of Tambelon review:


Part 1:


Part 1 opens up with the ponies playing hide and seek and I guess since they don't want a repeat of earth ponies (or pegasi) feeling left out they have a "no winking out" rule. Makes sense because Sweet Stuff did feel left out in the last episode.

They all hide and Baby Ribbon being a baby unicorn can't find a good hiding spot. She also forgets the rule of not winking out and does. Ribbon reminds her that its against the rules to wink out. They restart the game and Baby Ribbon this time finds a good hiding spot but its not a good hiding spot and is seen and once again forgets the rules of not winking out.

By the way it should be pointed out that since she's a baby she doesn't know how to wink back in very well. Danny also picks on her for this but in a fan episode he remembers what Molly told him. Check out my first ever fan story "Danny babysitting" to see what I mean.

This time when she winks out Baby Ribbon doesn't come back so Ribbon goes to find her and now she's gone. After awhile the unicorns get concerned for Ribbon and Baby Ribbon which Megan says that maybe Ribbon is still looking for her.

Also I want to point out that this is the only 4 parter that doesn't have a song for each part. Guess Hasbro couldn't find a good song for part 2. Which is okay. I can handle 1 part not having a song.

We then get to a scene with Ribbon who appears in a city and gets captured.

We get back to the scene with the rest and Galaxy gets the idea to go and look for them as well. Megan suggests against it but Galaxy is gone before she protests. Again they all panic except Megan who says that it's only been a few minutes.

Megan then tells everyone to spread the word to the unicorns "No more winking out". We then shift to a scene with the baby ponies playing "Queen of the mountain" and Baby Lickety-Split being the queen. Baby Gusty decides to wink up there and show her who's boss. Paradise and Shady come into this and try to stop her but its too late.

We then switch to a river where Fizzy wants to get across it. Of course she gets the idea to wink across and much to the sea ponies dismay she never comes back. Let me just say "FIZZY IS A DITZ!" There's stones across the river why didn't she use them instead? The panicked sea ponies tells Megan what happened.

The others tell Megan that Gusty is gone too. Buttons then realizes she's the only 1 left. They go on a search party to find them and a rockslide comes down as Buttons tries to see if they are on the other side and she winks out to get away. Now there's no more unicorns.

The scene shifts to Megan asleep in Dream Valley and she gets a telepathic message disguised as a dream from Ribbon. She says one word which is "Tambelon".

Megan wakes up and tells everyone about her dream and Paradise tells her she knows of this "Tambelon" and tells her the story but can't remember how to stop it.

They continue their search to the song "Where have the unicorns gone" which is a good song and stays true to the episode.

They continue searching and Paradise has done more researching. Apparently Grogar was sent into darkness but again Paradise has no clue how it happened. They ask her why the unicorns disappear and Paradise tells them over time Tambelon starts showing itself and she believes the unicorns may have gotten there by winking out.

We then see a scene with the unicorns who are in Tambelon and Ribbon says she hopes Megan got her message. Grogar is also seen and he tells Bray (His donkey minion) to not dawdle.

The next scene they continue their search but see a dark cloud which is pointed out by Megan but Paradise says its not a cloud that its Tambelon and they capture some ponies which closes out part 1.


Part 2:


Part 2 opens up with the troggles (Yeah I forgot to mention them) looking for the rest. Bray tells Grogar that they've captured most of the ponies but Grogar wants them all there by midnight. He tells Bray he wants the humans as well since they'll be good slaves since they have hands like the troggles.

The scene shift to the others who have made camp in the hills. Peach Blossom and Forget me not tells of their situation and so do the bushwoolies and eventually the grundles who we haven't been seen since the movie. I guess Rosedust was helping them find the rest of their clan because he mentions all the grundles are captured.

Anyway there's no song here and I guess its because of the time constraint which is fine. There's plenty of good songs in this 4 parter anyway. King Grundle suggests going under but they are seen. Bushwoolies decide to roll in but they are seen as tumbleweeds and fail as well.

Megan and Lofty then decide to go into the city at night and succeed.

The captured ponies decide to make a break for it. They come across Megan and Lofty. They also find an old bell while trying to get out by the way which Magic Star senses power from it which it does have power but won't come into play till later.

We then shift back to the others and Peach Blossom says something that would make Windwhistler proud. She then has to explain what she meant.

Galaxy then comes back to the ponies back in Tambelon and says that she found a way out. Peach Blossom comes in from the back and they're all spotted and captured. Now Danny, Molly and the others are their only hope. Grogar then threatens Bray that if it happens again he'll join them.

Peach Blossom tells the others (After getting away) that Megan and the rescue party has been captured which ends part 2.


Part 3:


Part 3 opens with the rest trying to figure out what to do now. Danny gets an idea to go to paradise estate and record Bray's voice so they can get his bell which holds his power but he also remembers in all the excitement that he left it in paradise estate.

They head there and We see another antic by Surprise. Told you her and Danny would team up again didn't I? Danny gets the taperecorder and listens in on Bray giving orders to the troggles which Danny records and splices the tape to his liking. Masquerade then makes a costume to make them look like Bray to trick Grogar.

They go to Tambelon and the costume and tape work and they're able to get inside. Yeah if Grogar would have looked closer he would have seen that this was a fake. He runs after them and they surround him and try to get the bell around his neck off but to no avail. He cages 2 more ponies and the others escape.

Back to the others who are now joined by the captives. They sing "Escape" while trying to find a way out. Good song and again very plot worthy. Galaxy still thinks the bell has something to do with Grogar's powers but she still has no clue.

The scene shifts to Danny and the other ponies who have captured a troggle and he tells them he can help. They agree to this and follow him. By the way his name is Drog. Creative name. He brings news that Grogar plans to send the captives to the land of darkness. They head to Tambelon.

Bray and Grogar discuss what their going to do in the next scene.

Drog leads the others into the city but they're captured and blame Drog on this thinking he tricked them. Grogar comes out which ends part 3.


Part 4:


Part 4 opens up with everyone captured. Bray throws Drog in calling him a traitor. He tells them it wasn't his fault since most of the troggles are loyal to Grogar and will help anyway he can.

Bray then goes to tell Grogar that they're all there and Grogar is pleased. He then tells Bray to tell everyone to celebrate and that if anyone isn't they'll be thrown in the valley of darkness if they don't. Grogar then starts the spell to send them into the valley of darkness.

Back in the dungeon they hear the ruckus and Forget Me Not hears it louder as she reaches the ceiling. There's a crack and they need something to stuff it in to make it bubble so Danny suggests the gruel given to them.

They take it up there and put it in. Megan tells Fizzy to make it bubble and she does and makes the crack bigger which allows Megan to get the keys and they are able to escape again.

Bray tells Grogar that they escaped and he takes it well..... Not. He's mad. He then goes after them. Drog tells the troggles to escape as well but they are all stopped by Grogar. Danny asks if anyone else has any bright ideas and Spike says he does but none are ringing any bells.

This gets Paradise to remembering how Grogar was defeated which was ringing the bell. OMG! Imagine the people after the signing of decloration knowing their freedom and singing the next song. That would have been awesome.

The ponies sing "Let the bell of freedom ring" while Megan and Northstar seek the bell. Man this song rocks. They ring the bell which destroys the bell around Grogar's neck and sends Tambelon back into the valley of darkness along with Grogar and Bray. They all escape just in time too as the clock strikes midnight.

The scene shifts to them celebrating and Spike sees a shadow that looks like Grogar's horns when it is in fact 2 unicorns sitting together and he says "Maybe not" which ends the episode.


Good points:


-Grogar was an awesome villain. He was dark and foreboding. The perfect villain. No weaknesses.
-Every song was plot worthy.
-Seeing Danny and Surprise team up again was great (Even if it was for a short few seconds).
-Bray was great and even though he was an idiot he didn't botch things up as bad as any of the other minions or followers of past villains.
-The ending was hilarious as Spike seeing the 2 unicorns sitting together thought it was Grogar.


Bad Point (Although its minor so I'll let it pass):


-The scene with Forget Me Not getting captured and it not being her was a problem.


Above all its a good episode. I rate it a 10/10 despite the error. If you want to see a really good episode watch this 1 .


My next review is on a DVD I just bought so I don't have to look it up. "Little piece of magic" review is next.

Okay I want to take this moment to say this is why I made Grogar the villain in my second ponified power ponies idea (Power ponies Rainbow) because he is an awesome villain and deserved to be a villain in it. Bray became his predecessor because he was his minion.

Aww. The baby ponies in this episode are so cute. Unlike those ugly G3.5 baby ponies. Anyway "Little Piece of Magic" was 1 of the "Baby pony" episodes I loved and this is 1 of the reasons why I got "Escape from Catrina and other stories" out at Walmart because of this episode right here . Also I want to put up a warning.

WARNING! THE FOLLOWING REVIEW IS FOR AN EPISODE RATED "BPC" FOR BABY PONY CUTENESS BY THE DJ RATING BOARD! IF YOU CAN'T STAND BABY PONIES OR IF YOUR RETINAS BURN BECAUSE OF THEIR CUTENESS THEN THIS EPISODE ISN'T FOR YOU! YOU WERE WARNED!

So without further ado:


Little Piece of Magic review:


The episode begins as we hear a "Yay" from one of the baby ponies. This of course is Baby Tiddlywinks who loves games like this. I have to say these baby ponies are cute. So cute you want to just pinch their baby cheeks. *Shakes it off* Sorry went into cuteness overreaction.

The next to speak up is Baby Half-note. She doesn't want to play but practice to be a ballerina. Of course her being a baby she still has a lot to learn. *Tries to control himself* Must keep from overreacting to their cuteness so I can finish this review. *Slaps himself* That's better.

After that little act of hers she's ready to play again. Baby Tiddlywinks suggests playing checkers. She asks Baby Lofty to get the checkerboard. She tries but crashes. Oh man...... *Giggles* No.... No. Not gonna overreact. Keep it together DJ. Baby Half-note says she didn't want to play checkers anyway.

Baby Tiddlywinks says yes to playing checkers and asks Baby Ribbon. Yeah ask a baby unicorn that can't wink in good yet. She does and says "Not all here". Aww you gotta love how they....... NO! MUST FINISH REVIEW!

Baby Tiddlywinks thinking she means the checkers game says "Checkers all there". But then Baby Ribbon tells her she's not all there. She calls for her mom and she comes in and helps her out.

Buttons also comes in with her and they both see they have a couple of bored baby ponies. So they take them out of the nursery to play make believe. Oh this is gonna be.... Come on DJ! Pull yourself together.

Anyway they tell them they are gonna bounce a ball down the hill. They also tell them it can be anything they want. So they go off to get it. The baby ponies then wait while they imagine what its gonna be like. This next part will feature all of them imagining what the ball will be like.


Baby Tiddlywinks:


Baby Tiddlywinks imagines its a ball with Domino eyes, playing card ears, Croquet arms and baseball bat legs. In a way a playing buddy. He takes her to a place with all sorts of fun stuff. They play table tennis, walk through a fun maze. She even nuzzles her playmate "Shucks I'm turning red". Good times with this episode.


Baby Lofty:


Baby Lofty imagines its a ball with wings that teaches her to fly. Just cute. They fly through clouds even into.... Space!? Ah who cares its her imagination. She can imagine going through anything. . Baby Half-note:


If you didn't already guess what Baby Half-note's imagination is its her dancing well at a recital with the ball there to coach her. And she has sold out shows


Baby Ribbon:


Well we already knew this was coming. Baby Ribbon imagines him as a good luck charm who helps her wink in and out without any troubles at all. She even teaches earth and pegasi to do the same, even none-pony creatures like the bushwoolies and grundles. AGAIN ITS HER IMAGINATION! Don't judge. At the end of hers she takes a much needed vacation.


Back to reality:


As they all get back to reality they notice there isn't any ball but then realize they didn't need it after all. Because of imagination.

All 4 sing "Imagining is fun" which fits and might I add they all sing beautifully .

Ribbon and Buttons come back and say its time for their naps. They ask them if they had fun with the ball and they all say "Yes". As the baby ponies leave Ribbon and Buttons wonders what happened to the red ball. They find it in a bush. They both laugh which ends the episode.


CAN'T HOLD IT ANYMORE! *Loses it to their adorableness* THE BABY PONIES ARE SO CUTE! I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED THEM! *Calms down* Now that I got that out of my system. The good points and believe it or not no bad points because it was all about using their imaginations which is perfectly fine .


Good points:


-All of them had their own way of using their imagination. Not one was the same.
-Seeing them all having fun in their own way with the red ball just was cuter than cute .
-The baby ponies. That's all I got to say.
-Even though it seemed out of place at points the imagination of the 4 babies just was awesome.
-"Imagining is fun" was so well sang and fit well with the episode.
-Seeing Buttons and Ribbon finding the red ball and laughing knowing they didn't need it after all was great.


Above all if you like episodes with baby ponies (Especially the cake twins) this is a must see. Its cute, fun and just all around awesome. It gets a 11/10 *Its my review and it deserves it because of its cuteness factor* Wish we had more of these but what we got was 2 first tooth pony episodes later on. They're both okay episodes but not as cute as this 1 .


Next up is a good episode in my opinion with 1 exception. Little Ms. Drama Queen is back. That's right Baby Lickety-Split. "The Magic coins" review is next.

Argh! This episode that little Ms. Pain in the butt is back. You all know who I'm talking about. Baby Lickety-Split. Sure she was in "Return of Tambelon" but she only had 1 scene. She has 2 and she's a brat in this episode. Anyway here we go.


The Magic Coins:


Part 1:


Part 1 opens up with Megan, Danny and Molly setting up a picnic. Danny says I guess and a butterfly bug him. He tries shooing them away but lands in flowers which Sweet Stuff says he's lucky he didn't fall in the water.

Gosh I love Sweet Stuff's voice. Anyway the sea ponies ask what's wrong with water. Wait..... he loves water as seen in The glass princess.

Anyway they dive down and see a chest of coins and they bring it up. Megan looks at them and wonders what they are. Gusty comes up and tells them nevermind about the coins and wants to play volleyball.

The scene shifts to them getting ready to play volleyball. But they notice something is wrong with their game..... no ball. Fizzy fixes this problem by creating a ball out of water. Yeah a ball of water. Like that's not gonna pop.

Ugh and here she is. Baby Lickety-Split says she hungry. Megan tells her it'll be soon. Anyway as they play Sweet Stuff tries to knock it back but then trips over a root from a tree and knocks over the chest. She apologizes and says she'll pick them up. Megan then tells her not to worry and get back to the game.

They continue till Gusty tries to get the ball but pops it on her horn. Fizzy says she can make another and walks over a coin wishing she could make them bigger and stronger so they don't pop. And what happens after the coin disappears and she makes another? She makes one. And a lot more.

Molly gets trapped inside a giant bubble after 2 become a big one. She flies high in the air and Megan tells her not to pop it since she's so high. Windwhistler grabs a shaker of salt and tells her to pour it on the bubble. SHE JUST SAID IT WAS TOO HIGH TO POP IT! JEEZ!

Thankfully they bring her over the water. Baby Lickety-Split is glad Molly is okay and walks over another coin wishing there was food stacked all the way to the sky. After this happens Windwhistler figures its the coins doing this. Baby Half-note points this out as well.

A rainstorm ruins their fun and they have to pack up. Baby Lickety-Split wishes it would rain never again which stops the rain. Everyone is now worried.

The scene shifts to a few weeks later (Said by Windwhistler in her usual speech) and everything is wilting away because there's no rain. The ponies say that they never realized how nice rain is.

They all start to sing "Oh for a rainy day" asking for rain. Its a good song and very well sung by the cast.

Ugh Baby Lickety-Split you brat. She tells everyone that she wished it never rained again. They realize they need to find the coins and wish for rain on it. They head to Paradise Estate and ask Heartthrob if she's seen them.

She says yes and she used one because the heat messed up Sweet Stuff's makeup and seen a coin with a mask and used it. Well this is gonna end in disaster. They ask where she is and she says she's hiding and they ask her why. Sweet Stuff comes out with clown makeup on her. No wonder she's hiding.

Windwhistler and Spike say this could cause a problem. Wait... Spike she just said that. They ask Magic Star if she still has some. She put them away and of course there's only 3 left. They try and wish for rain on them. No use.

They go to the Moochick for help. Ugh they're doomed. They hear singing and see the sea ponies are out of water which ends part 1.


Part 2:


Part 2 opens up with them still with the baby sea ponies. They decide to split up. One group goes to find water while the others go to the Moochick's.

The scene shifts to Megan and her group going to the Moochick's. Spike is hoping he's staying cool with all this heat. They see him with a fan being ran by Habbit who's turning it by riding a bike. Yeah modern technology he says.

They ask him about the coins and he says he can't help them but a troll named Niblic can since he created them. They suggest talking to Niblic but Mr. Moochick suggests otherwise since they are rude. Um Mr. Moochick the land is drying up and you don't want them to see Niblic? Megan says they have to try. Also let me point out again.... MR. MOOCHICK CAN'T KEEP THINGS STRAIGHT!

The scene shifts to Danny and the others who find the lake they is dried up as well. They continue on looking.

The scene shifts and.... MY GOSH HEARTTHROB STOP COMPLAINING! THEY'RE ALL HOT! Megan suggests everyone ration what's left of the water by drinking one cupful. Spike sneezes out a flame which dries up his ration. Galaxy offers some of hers and Megan says they'll be as bad as the sea ponies if they don't find water.

They all start complaining saying things that a kid would say. Megan says maybe a song would cheer them up. THIS IS NO TIME FOR A SONG! ITS TOO HOT!

"Let a song carry you along" is a good song but damn its in the wrong spot in the episode. It doesn't fit here. Were the script writers drinking stupid juice that day? She asks "Don't you feel better now?" and Spike says the obvious "Singing made us even more exhausted". Good going Megan.

They all are exhausted by the heat and Windwhistler suggests Galaxy use her horn to poke a hole in the cactus since they have water. FINALLY SOMEONE WITH A GOOD IDEA!

Back to Danny who finds another empty pond. Man they have tough luck. It is too bad the others couldn't bring that water back to them.

The scene shifts back to Megan and her group and Galaxy says she doesn't want to scare anyone but she feels uneasy because she feels they are being followed. They are of course but by a small man named Puck. Okay then. He knows they're on the way to Niblic the troll since he is the only one who lives around there.

They run into goblins and Megan knows they hate light and she makes a wish on a coin.

The next day Puck takes them them to Niblic and..... Ugh he is ugly. He's having a conversation with a knight who's off to save a damsel from a dragon. Niblic tells him he can only cross if he gives him his crown. He does and goes across.

Megan says they know where his coins are and he says he'll lower the toll if they give them to him. He then sees they don't have it. They tell him they spent them and he raises the bridge in anger which ends part 2.


Part 3:


Part 3 opens up as they are still dangling. Megan and the others makes a deal with Niblic to give him something even better than the coins on one condition which is undo the weather spell. MEGAN YOU'RE HANGING ON FOR DEAR LIFE AND YOU'RE MAKING CONDITIONS!? STUPID, STUPID, STUPID! He agrees and lets them in his house.

He tells them if they get him something better than his coins he'll undo the weather spell. Megan tells him if he doesn't Ponyland will become a desert. Also let me go on record and say Niblic is a slob. I mean I get it. He's a troll. But even the trolls in "The Hobbit" didn't have messy caves like this.

They sing "What do you give to a troll?" while looking for stuff he might like. All of them sound nice but he's a troll he would never go for any of that stuff. Good song by the way. Also notice Spike sings about things involving fire. It makes sense since he's a dragon.

Puck says that he'd like one of three things: A ruby, a golden rose or emerald idol. They split up (Again) to find said things.

The scene shifts back to Danny's group who find water trickling down what looks like used to be a waterfall. They get a few drops on them and head back to paradise estate. The next few parts will be split up into each group as they go after each item.

Spike, Magic Star and Heartthrob:


Spike, Magic Star and Heartthrob go after the golden rose. Of course this is a "Haunted maze" so the plants are alive and start attacking them. Spike says they are plants so they hate fire. They take it back to Niblic who says he hates it and when Heartthrob says otherwise and Spike says it smells nice Niblic sneezes and says he has rose fever.


Puck, Galaxy and Gingerbread:


Puck, Galaxy and Gingerbread come upon the city of the ancients. By the way another error. Galaxy says she won't take any chances and winks in there but sets off a trap which cages her.

Gingerbread unties her and Puck gets the idol but afterwards sets off another trap and as they leave a piece of rubble hits the idol and when they take it back to Niblic it crumbles. Strike 2.


Megan, Windwhistler and Fizzy:


Megan, Windwhistler and Fizzy are climbing a volcano to get the heart of fire. They reach it but there's no way of getting to it. Fizzy makes a bubble which is still strong by the wish she made but since its so big its hard to control. Megan and Windwhistler fly over there but the updraft cancels their flight which ends part 3.


Part 4:


Part 4 opens up as Megan and Windwhistler are on a rock over the lava and Megan gets the idea to wish to be lighter than air on one of the coins and Windwhistler only wants it to be momentarily. They take the ruby back to Niblic but he shows he has plenty. He says he's a nice guy and will let them go under one condition. That they leave.

The scene shifts back to Danny and the others. Shady could only find a drop and the baby sea ponies says its okay there's no water anywhere. Baby Lofty gets the idea to find more. She goes to get some but hits a bird and drops the pitcher she had.

The sun glares off a piece of the broken pitcher and sets the ground on fire.

Something is going to happen soon Danny. A fire breaking out. One of the pegasi goes to check out the smoke since it looks like fire. Whizzer goes to check it out and she comes back and says it is.

They decide to try and put it out but tells them to be ready to abandon Dream Valley.

Megan and the rest come back to a blazing inferno. She tries the last coin to wish the fire was out but no use. Windwhistler saves her and says she'll do anything for a friend. Megan thinks about the picture on the coin and tells Whizzer to take her back to Niblic. Boy she's just asking for trouble.

The scene shifts to Megan and Niblic and she says she has something for him and it'll come from one of his own coins. What does she wish for? We'll see in a minute.

The scene shifts to the ponies running for their lives out of Dream Valley.

As the scene shifts to Megan and Niblic another troll appears. "What a pit" you took the words right out of my mouth buddy. He starts cleaning the place.

At first Niblic seems to get mad but then thanks her for him. Whizzer asks her what she wished for. Megan says "A friend". Aw. Niblic says "Name your price" and she says what she said before. To undo all the stuff they wished for. Even the bubbles that Fizzy can now make? Aw man .

The weather spell is undone and rain once again comes to Ponyland and puts out the fire.

Niblic thanks Megan and says "I've never had a..." and Megan finishes the sentence by saying "I know what you mean. Friendship is a wish come true".

They all sing "Friends" which is catchy and appropriate for this scene since they sing how wonderful it is to have friends. This ends the episode. Let me say that Niblic and the other troll sing wonderfully .


Good Points:


-3 of the songs were great. All of them plot worthy. Even "Let a song carry you along".
-The last wish made sense. The clasped hands do mean friendship.
-Seeing the baby sea ponies again was awesome.
-Niblic was your usual run of the mill troll. Rude till he got a friend which I'm okay with.
-Seeing Sweet Stuff with the clown makeup was hilarious.


Bad Points:

-Baby Lickety-Split. That's all I got to say.
-"Let a song carry you along" just seemed out of place. They were all hot and you thought them singing a song would make them less hot? Brother.
-Megan making demands while hanging was dumb.


Above all not a bad episode but there were some flaws. This episode gets a 8/10 from me. If it weren't for the flaws then it would have been a good episode.

Up next is an episode that features Windwhistler singing. Yes I said it. Windwhistler singing. "Mish Mash Meelee" review is next. I'm really excited about reviewing this episode. I loved hearing Windwhistler sing . Yes I know she sang in "What do you give to a troll" but she really let's her talent shine in the next episode.

Before we delve into what I thought is 1 of the best episodes with Windwhistler (This and Crunch the Rockdog) I want to point out why I love this episode so much. Windwhistler shows her silly side and she has a solo . Also watching everyone acting a different way than they usually act is hilarious. Anyway without further ado:


Mish Mash Melee review:


Its another fine day in Ponyland as the episode opens. Gusty, Windwhistler, Shady and Fizzy are enjoying a game of polo. Well all except Shady who doesn't know what to do with it.

Windwhistler explains how to play but as always no one can understand a word she says since she talks in long words. Gusty tells Shady to just whack it with her nose. Seems easy. Somehow even a simple game as polo seems hard for Shady. The ball gets away from her and Fizzy uses magic on it which Windwhistler (Going all referee like) puts up a penalty flag saying using magic is against the rules.

I want to go on the record and say I love Fizzy. She's so ditzy but not so ditzy that you hate her. She has that childlike attitude to her which I love.

Anyway Fizzy tries to get it down but can't control it. It falls into a nearby forest named the Masteficent forest where Delldrums (Or however they spell it) live and make stuff like trees and smooth stones Danny apparently likes to skip on the river.

We also see a barrel marked with the words "Balance" which comes into play in a few minutes.

Anyway Fizzy stands on the stone to said living quarters asking if their dangerous. Come on. They make good things. How can they be dangerous? Shady being a worry wart accidentally steps back into a branch which opens the door to the delldrums place and they all go in.

They all slide down and hit the barrel we seen before and knock the barrel upside down which releases what the delldrums call frazzits. These things create havoc as they make the delldrums do crazy things. I guess this has happened before.

Not only do they change the delldrums characters but the four ponies as well. Fizzy starts talking like Windwhistler, Windwhistler starts acting like Fizzy, Shady is brave like Gusty and Gusty is now the shy one.

Anyway Fizzy wants help getting them back in the barrel but Windwhistler is acting silly, Shady wants to go on an adventure. Also I want to add that Fizzy tries by herself but makes it worse by making more. Fizzy makes bubbles to capture them.

Yeah where is Gusty by the way? Hiding? Wow. Fizzy asks for her help and Gusty starts using her power over wind on them but does it too hard and Fizzy tells her to do it gently. This works and even Shady helps out.

Now comes the awesome song of all time sang by the four seen in the episode "Being somebody else". They all have great voices even Windwhistler. No tone deaf actors here. This song fits because they are all acting not like themselves.

Fizzy finally gets them all back in the barrel but everything is still not back to normal. She asks for help one last time to tip the barrel right side up. Everyone turns back to normal. Aw no more silly Windwhistler .

We then get a hilarious scene where they say its all thanks to Fizzy bringing things back in order. She is so funny. Its funny because at the end she's like "Huh". This ends the episode.


Good points (And might I add NO BAD POINTS! All parts were good):


-Hearing Windwhistler finally getting a solo was awesome.
-Windwhistler being silly, Shady being adventurous, Fizzy being smart and Gusty being shy was awesome. Just gave us a new side to our characters.
-Fizzy's reaction at the end was hilarious.
-"Being somebody else" fit well and had good singers even the one playing Windwhistler.
-The backstory behind the delldrums was cool .


Above all not a bad episode..... NO WAIT! AN AWESOME EPISODE! I don't give many episodes this rating but it gets a 10/10. You want a good end of the week standalone episode then this is a must see.


Next up is "Woe is me" an okay episode but my gosh the main character is almost as bad as Shady. "Woe is me" review is next.

"Woe is me" is an aptly named episode featuring a hobo like creature named Woebegone. I don't hate him in general just that he's almost as bad as Shady. Anyway that's not my review of it but here we go *Sighs*. I can't believe I'm gonna review this. Also I should point out that this is 1 of the few 2 parters in the series and not one of the better ones.



Woe is me:


Part 1:


Part 1 opens up with a creature of some sort being chased by a huge alligator type creature. He's not happy about something. And that's the beginning. Wow Hasbro.

As the scene shifts to Posey she finds Woebegone in her flower garden. He tells her he's in big trouble. The giant alligator tries to track him down but since he's so big he can't see him and goes away leaving Woebegone with a broken foot.

Also it should be pointed out that no matter where this guy goes bad luck obviously follows him. His name is Woebegone. He has this cloud that follows him wherever he goes. We'll get into that when it comes to that part.

The ponies let him stay and again like I said and Lickety-Split says later on he's nothing but bad luck. He even says this.

While in the nursery they tend to him and he thinks he'll bring ruin. By the way I love Baby Shady in this scene. She's adorable . By this time a piece of ceiling comes down on him and they all think its because the roof is faulty and they need to get it fixed.

Woebegone tells them his sob story of how his brothers terrorized a witch. But before he can finish the nursery starts going to shambles and they have to leave.

Woebegone by the way is still trapped inside and when they see him they think he's dead. If only they were that lucky. Get it? Lucky . The nursery collapses some more. He tells them of how he got this bad luck which to me I think his brothers should have been punished not him. But we'll get to that in a minute. Anyway the witch casts a spell on the 2 boys and he knocks her into a pot.

First the nursery now Paradise Estate? Jeez. Maybe he is bad luck. Lickety-Split gets mad and doesn't want anything to do with finding him a new place to stay.

To make matters even worse he breaks a chandelier which he falls on the table on his broken foot then the chandelier lands on it as well. Jeez this guy has bad luck.

The scene shifts to them fixing both the nursery and Paradise Estate and no sign of Woebegone. Lickety-Split says good riddance. My words exactly. They go to find him and when they do they sing "Little Hobo" to make him come back with them. BAD IDEA! They convince him otherwise.

The scene shifts to the bushwoolies finishing up the repairs and Lickety-Split sees they brought him back. We also hear a hilarious retort from her. "Paradise Estate didn't collapse, the moon is made of green cheese and I'm the queen of England" classic.

Woebegone shows how much bad luck he is by just gently tapping a tree and making it fall. This wouldn't be a problem mind you but as we already saw it does get worse.... much worse.

The mud (Or whatever it is) knocks Baby Shady in its wake to end part 1.


Part 2:


Part 2 opens up as Baby Shady tries to get out. WHERE'S DINAH WHEN YOU NEED HER!? Masquerade saves her and Lickety-Split tells them that this further proves he's bad luck which makes Woebegone go away yet again.

Just why do we need another down in the dumps character aside from Shady? Anyway Woebegone sings a song "I'd better go now" which for this episode is okay but jeez what a worry wart. We already have Shady Hasbro we don't need another character like this.

He runs away after his little raincloud gives him a jolt and bees start chasing him. They go after him.

They convince him to stay and he finishes his story. Apparently the witch got pissed and since he says he's bad luck she curses him to forever be clumsy only till he realizes that bad luck can't control him.... but we'll get to that later. He also returns home and the bad luck starts.

And that's his story. He still tries to convince them to let him be but they till him to try and beat this thing with sheer willpower. Yeah. In the end it works and the witch comes back and congratulates him. Apparently she's not evil just misunderstood.

They return to Paradise Estate to show everyone he's not bad luck. But before he can go he trips and everyone gasps thinking its back but he says otherwise and leaves which ends the episode.



Good Points (Sorry only found 3. This had a lot of flaws):


-The song "Little Hobo" was the only good song of the episode. Don't get me wrong both songs were great but "I'd better go now" could have been left out since its just him feeling sorry for himself which we already had a song to meet that criteria.
-Lickety-Split's retort after telling them he's not bad luck was funny.
-Baby Shady was cute. All I got to stay. I loved it when she called him Uncle Woebegone which is why I had him return to congratulate Baby Shady when she heard she was going to be a big sister.


Bad Points:


-First of all why do we need to have another down in the dumps character? He's almost as bad as Shady. Almost but not quite.
-"I'd better go now" or "Little Hobo" song should have been enough for this episode because both show him feeling sorry for himself.
-Woebegone in his entirety was just depressing. If he wasn't blaming himself he was running away, if he wasn't running away he was feeling sorry for himself.
-Lickety-Split was a jerk while the other ponies wanted to help him. Why?
-The fact this was a 2 parter. It could have been easily a standalone episode itself. Don't get me wrong they didn't waste time to make it a 2 parter but for crying out loud.


Above all its watchable for some of the good parts. Is it worth watching for those who want to watch the old series? All I have to say is watch it for yourself and judge it yourself. Its not a bad episode just not a good one either. Also they could have had 1 song and it would have been fine. This episode gets a 7.5/10. If it weren't for Baby Shady's cuteness it would have been lower.


Anywho. Next up is "The Fugitive Flowers". Good episode especially since we get to hear Posey sing (Finally) and the villains on this episode were menacing. "The Fugitive Flowers" review is next.

The Fugitive Flowers review:


Part 1:


Part 1 opens up with Masquerade and Wizzer seeing some crab-like creatures wrecking the forest looking for fugitives. They try to stop them but they say their too busy to listen. By the way I never liked the names "Crabnasties" so throughout my review I'll give them names. Gordon is the leader, and the other 3 are Sebastian, Jack and Clipper. (Sebastian is named after the character from little mermaid).

Masquerade decides to get help.

The scene shifts to our villains the Flouries. Why are they our villains? You'll see soon. They see Posey tending to her garden and they want to go down there but the leader doesn't want to scare her and they watch her from a distance.

Posey sings this wonderful song "How does my garden grow" which is cute and fits her character. The flouries come up afterwards and her thinking they are beautiful takes them in.

Megan and the Cherries Jubilee come up and they see the flouries. Cherries Jubilee says they are sickly looking flowers. The flouries tell them they were.... Ugh. I can't understand why they didn't just give them names. So I'll go ahead and name them by the flowers on their heads. The leader is Dandelion, the other 4 are Mum, Rose, Mum and Pirahna.

Come on Megan. This place has talking ponies and you think they can't talk. Anyways the Dandelion tells them of the crabnasties. We then see them as they wreck Posey's garden trying to capture them. They flip 1 on his back and the flouries point out that's their weakness. Makes sense.

They stop them and put them in a cage.

After this the flouries show their true colors as they destroy the garden. Masquerade sees this but is captured by the flouries to end part 1.


Part 2:


Part 2 opens up with the flouries decide to leave and are so full they think to take a nap. Whizzer unties Masquerade and she thinks to take initiative to take the flouries down but Whizzer thinks otherwise to get the others.

They realize that they locked the good guys in jail and go to find them in their cage which is now empty and has a hole in it.

The scene shifts to Posey crying because her garden is trashed. She starts trying to pin the blame on the crabnasties but Masquerade tells them that the flouries did it and go to try and find the crabnasties.

Posey wonders why the flouries are so beautiful but so mean and the crabnasties so ugly and the good guys. This leads into our second song "Always look twice" good song with a great lesson.

Masquerade says they've found them and they go to see them. They say that the flouries are now the ponies problem and not theirs. The flouries appear and Gordon decides to help them.

They start to get the upper hand till 1 of the flouries takes Megan and Masquerade hostage. Gordon breaks the ground and causes Dandelion to fall and he tells them to let her go or he'll snip Dandelion's petals off to send her to her doom. Dandelion decides to surrender.

The scene shifts to Posey looking at her ruined garden and Megan agrees that she took the full blunt of the attack. This is also the part where they tell her that they will include them in their report. Before they leave they rebuild Posey's garden and she kisses Gordon. He says "Anything you say ma'am. An aw geez". Aw Gordon is speechless. This ends the episode.


Good points:


-The flouries were true villains but didn't show it till later.
-Every song was plot worthy
-"Always look twice" is a great lesson.
-Posey's nice demeanor to flowers was great.


Bad points:


-Posey's nice demeanor got her in big trouble.
-The crabnasties could have shown that they weren't evil if they didn't start wrecking things.


Above all not a bad episode. I say this is a must see. It gets a 9/10. Good episode but had some stuff that didn't make any sense.


Up next is "The would be dragon slayer" review.

Before I begin this review I want to say that this episode makes sense. Spike being a dragon we would need a dragon slayer. This also shows us there are plenty of dragons in Ponyland. So here we go. Also this is an episode that shows us there's a good chance of there being other humans the ponies know of.


"The would be dragon slayer" review:


The episode opens up to the "Pony Olympics". You know? The one they were training for in "The Glass Princess"? We see the events and..... "Help". Uh oh Spike is in trouble. Also might I point out that Shady has a lot more confidence in this episode. Guess Molly's pep talk helped.

Anyway Spike is being chased by a knight.... Or what appears to be a knight anyway. Wizzer, Heartthrob and Magic Star stops him and Megan scolds the boy for trying to hurt Spike. He says he doesn't want to hurt Spike but to slay him. This is our knight. A kid named "Squire Alonzo". His camel is named Panza.

Anyway the reason why he's trying to slay Spike is because he wants to be a knight but every time he tries he screws it up.... Just like now. He says dragons are evil but Spike retorts and tells him he's not evil.

Let me go on the record that Spike is right. I can name a few good dragons. Spike, Eragon, Elliot from Pete's Dragon and Spyro (From the "Spyro the dragon series).

Panza says "I think we're in trouble again" which makes us realize that this isn't the first time he's tried to do "A good deed".

Alonzo tells Spike he's sorry and sings "To be a knight" to tell of his tale of sorrow. Boy he has screwed up a lot. Good song by the way and plot worthy.

So Spike feels sorry for Alonzo and agrees to help him do a good deed. Okay then, he just tried to kill you and now you want to help him? Who am I to judge? Everyone agrees to this as well.

Who's idea was this? Um Spike it was yours silly. They hear singing and its coming from a castle surrounded by brambles. They of course thinking its a damsel in distress barge in only to find a wedding. The fairy godmother is furious and orders them out. Failed again. The wizard on the other hand is intrigued by Squire Alonzo.

They leave defeated and Alonzo is feeling down yet again. He tosses his sword which lands on someone. Its a giant turtle. He says he was climbing a tree.... Wait what? Why on earth would a turtle climb a tree. No wonder he fell. He tells him to help him and he tries.

Megan tells Alonzo not to give up which Panza realizes he's gone.

Back with Alonzo he's still trying to get the turtle upright. We get a funny conversation between them too. Alonzo brings a board over and uses it as a seesaw to right the turtle and just in time for the others to see it as well.

The turtle turns out to be the wizard from before and he was giving Alonzo a test. The toppled turtle test. Apparently the knight from before wanted the wizard to find a new knight to take over and the wizard thought Alonzo would be perfect so he wanted him to take a test which he passed.

The wizard takes him and Spike reminds Alonzo to be nice to dragons. He promises. Spike also says he was nice.... for a would be dragon slayer which makes everyone laugh to end the episode.


Good Points:


-Them putting a bag over Panza's head and him saying "Hey, who put out the candles" was hilarious.
-"To be a knight" was so true to the story and was great.
-Alonzo was great. Aside from the whining and claiming that all dragons were evil.
-The toppled turtle test was awesome.
-We finally got to see Shady at her best.
-Spike's reaction to helping a "Would be dragon slayer" was funny and never got old.
-The conversation between Alonzo and the wizard in his turtle form was hilarious. "Great I'm stuck upside down and your making cracks about my weight" priceless.


Bad Points:


-Alonzo whined way too much.
-Alonzo pointing out that dragons were evil was annoying. Not all dragons are evil.


Above all not a bad episode. It gets a 9.5/10. If it weren't for Alonzo's constant whining and saying dragons are evil and always kidnapping princesses this would be higher. Its worth watching to get a good laugh.
