I got my G1 DVD boxset today. I'm so happy. When Faust said Hasbro lost the rights of G1, I was crushed. Now, having DVD's of the original series with Hasbro's name printed on it make me glad she was wrong.
The only problems are this is the Disney Channel version. No previous episode montages, bumpers, or the "To be continued" messages. That's minor compared to the specials being the versions cut for syndication (especially Escape From K/Catrina). The movie was also not included in this package which is still morbidly expensive to get.
However, I'm still happy to own the series.

That makes sense. Guess I'll have to wait till Walmart gets it or go to a store like Barnes and Noble or something to find a copy because I don't get stuff online. I do have "The Quest of the Princess Ponies and other stories" though.

I think it's an online exclusive. I haven't seen it in store.

I now have the DVD of the movie. The whole Dream Valley continuity is sitting on my shelf.

Does yours have pictures of the G2 ponies on the covers? My copy does. I got my copy years ago.

No. Actual G1 ponies in the "retro" pony style.
