WELCOME TO THE MY LITTLE PONY LEXICON!
Hello and welcome to the My Little Pony Lexicon, a forum centered around MLP fanfic and roleplays. We hope you'll have a good time here!
Like all good forums, this one has some rules to keep it running smoothly. Please read through them all before posting in the forums.
New Members
1. Be sure to post on the Introductions Board first!
General Forum Behavior
The Lexicon asks that you follow the same general protocol you would anywhere else.
1. Be kind, courteous, and polite to your fellow forum members, if not downright friendly. ;D
2. If you have an issue with another member, please do not duke it out in public on the boards. Use the private messaging system to work things out instead. If need be, ask an admin for help in resolving a dispute (though if you insist on disputing in public, we may very well end it for you!)
3. Keep things on topic in your posts. Offhand mentions of other random things are fine, but if you have something to say that will take up a lot of text and has absolutely nothing to do with the thread, start a new thread.
4. Review! The whole purpose of this forum is to write and share MLP fanfiction. The market for MLP fanfic is extremely low at the moment, so we really want to keep this place going. If you read a story and like it, let the author know! They'll feel appreciated and be inclined to write more--not to mention they'll be more likely to review your stories back!
5. One account per person--no alts/multiple IDs.
6. Have fun! ;D
Fanfiction and Non-MLP Fiction Board Rules
1. One thread per story. Don't make individual threads for individual chapters.
2. Stories with higher ratings must have their rating noted. If there's lots of descriptive violence, gore, blood, or adult themes, you need to put the rating in your thread title. Hard adult content is prohibited.
3. Plagiarism is wrong. Don't do it.
Roleplay Forum Rules
1. No god-modding. Roleplays are made fun by the fact that they're played by a bunch of different people who take the story to places they never thought they'd go, much like real life. If you want things to happen a certain way or how you plan them, try writing some fanfic instead.
2. RPs with higher ratings must have those ratings noted. As with the fic forums, if there's lots of descriptive violence, gore, blood, or adult themes, you need to put the rating in your thread title. Hard adult content is prohibited.
3. Posts in a roleplay must be at least three sentences long. The reason for this is mostly for the RP's sake--if people keep posting one-liners, such as "Pinkie Pie smiled" or " 'Okay,' said Firefly", the RP will get nowhere and die. Unless you're able to move the plot along with a single sentence, write out at least three to keep the RP going.
Art Forum Rules
1. Art with higher ratings must have those ratings noted. As with the fic and RP forums, if there's lots of violence, gore, blood, or adult themes, you need to put the rating in your thread title. Hard adult content is prohibited.
2. Plagiarism is wrong. Don't do it.
Further rules to be added as needed.
Many thanks, your admins,
Caelum
