"They will not do any more harm. The Heart is safe with me." Sunstar nodded.
Aurora walked outside to find Battlefield. She walked away to a different rock and sat, ignoring Battlefield while she drew out her dagger. She studied the light reflected in the blade. It wouldn't be much longer before she got to see Eclipse and Sunset again.

Battlefield looked over at Aurora. "You were right," he called out to her. "You were right all along. Us demons are bloodthirsty monsters." He sipped his ale. "Our tempers have always been our biggest flaw."

"and yet you have people who love you." Aurora didn't look up, "You have the respect of Sunstar."

"Me and Sunstar are very old friends," replied Battlefield. "We've fought together for years. I've saved her life more times than I count. Our children fell in love and gaves us both grandchildren. Those are the kind of bonds that are formed over years and can't be broken." He was silent for a moment. "You want to be with your husband and daughter, don't you?"

Battlefield glanced over his shoulder at the unicorn historian. "Really?" he asked, the skepticism clear in his voice. "A pair of unicorns just used to win thier stupid little game, while invoking painful memories for me and Sunstar, and you say I made the right decision to not kill them?"

"I do want to be with them, yes." Aurora responded, "Is killing Bellrock and Bellstar the answer? Think about Bellstar's baby. Do you want to take away the best thing to happen to him?"

"Your right," replied Battlefield. "I was angry and wasn't thinking." He sighed. "But aren't you a more than a little miffed that you were nearly killed as pawn in someone's game?"

"I am angry, yes, but I'm also sad." Aurora replied, "I'm sad that they had to go into such extremes to deal with their boredom."

"EVen though I don't think they should be killed." Tornado replied, narrowing his eyes. "I do NOT believe that these two should get away scott free with what they've done!"

"And they won't get away scott free." Sunstar answered, "Their fates along with that of Sunburn will be decided by the Court of the Guardianship. I will be presiding. They will be able to pick their own lawyers to defend them. Sunburn too."

"They're both clearly guilty," Battlefield remarked. "Why don't you just let me shoot Sunburn and be done with it, Sunny?"

"While I am sorely tempted, I am bound by the laws of the Guardianship to give him a fair trial too." Sunstar replied, "I only regret that the death penalty was dropped by Moonstar."

Battlefield lovingly patted his shotgun. "That won't stop me," he remarked.

"Although it wouldn't be too bad if Sunburn were to... have a little 'accident'." Sunstar grinned, "I wonder if I can convince my fellow guardians to bring back the death penalty just once. Lets see, Mage, Milly-way, and Bloodstone would be for it, Andromeda against it, Galaxy would want a good reason, and Bryon would go which ever I told him to."
