I've noticed there's a lack of RPG activity here on the Lexicon, so i've decided to stary my own sword and sorcerey fantasy rpg-with ponies, of course. Hope you all join!
Quest for the Heart of Deathbolt
Story A hundred years ago, a unicorn sorcerer named Deadbolt raised an army of demon ponies, mercenaries for hire, and such, to conquer the known world one kingdom at a time. He was almost successful, but was finally defeated in a great battle by the combined forces of several kingdoms, and a brave coven of magic using ponies, who used their powers to kill him. Once he was dead, they removed his heart, and burned his body to ashes. They then entombed the heart in a small, metal box, enchanted with powerful protection spells, which they then hid in Deathbolt’s old fortress in the Greylock Mountains.
In the present day, a winged unicorn sorceress named Bellstar sends out letters to several of the greatest ponies in the world, imploring them to come to her castle and head out on a quest of great importance…

Finally! Some action!
Name: Anne 'Annick' Azarola [may or may not be her real name]
Gender: Female
Breed: Earthling
Body and Hair Color: White body, dishwater blonde hair in a bobcut
Eye Color: Left; grey-blue, right; magenta/chatreuse/cyan striped with eyeliner-like 'eyelash' marking around it - wears glasses
Clothing: Worn and tatty black jumper, equally old jeans, Liverpool FC scarf that is almost as long as she is, multi-pocketed windbreaker, heavy boots
Powers/Abilities: Practically an expert on faerie mythology and folklore, and can create facsimiles out of shadow and ink of about anything she's written down.
Personal Possessions: Her personal grimoire and a pencil case.
Personal Weapons: Her grimoire. She prefers using her magic summons to fight anything off than use actual weaponry.
Anything else of Interest: Speaks with an odd accent that, while sounding very Northern English, fails to be more specific than that. She is a lazy coward, preferring to sit back and let others do any violent work while snarking at them all the while - she is not afraid to use her magic skills to further her own ends, and hers alone. To others, she comes off as aloof, or maybe just shy. Ultimately, she's more of a hedonistic trickster; her reasons for joining this little quest are unknown (she refuses to divulge) but it's highly likely that she just did it for a lark.

Okay, we have three people, so let's begin.
Battlefield, the recently retired Cheif Gaurdian of the Kingdom of Dream Valley, was whistling to himself as he walked towards Bellstar's castle. A few days a go, a letter had suddenly appeared to him in his home, and, upon reading it, had told him that a Lady Bellstar needed him for a quest, to quote, it, "of great importance to the safety of the world." whatever that meant.
Upon first reading it, Battlefield, never one to ignore a plea to protect the world, had immediatly decided to go. So he packed his weapons and supplies, said goodbye to his family and friends, especially his wife, who wasn't happy at all that he was going, and had set off on his journey. He was now nearing the end of it as he approached the castle that was apparently, the home of his host.
From the window of an upstairs room, Bellstar looked down at the stallion who was approaching the front door of her castle. She recognized him at once as Battlefield, the half-demons tallion who had been a living legend while he was Cheif Gaurdian of Dream Valley. He had been a perfect choice to have on this quest. He continued to watch to see if any other guests arrived.

A quest, to quote, 'of great importance to the safety of the world.'
Annick sighed loudly and continued on her way. She was barely sure of the reasons as to why she suddenly decided to see what this entailed and sign up, but whatever they where, she was probably going to regret them. Not that it mattered to her, of course. Be it an elaborate prank or an actual venture, it was a means of entertainment as good as any for the young, bored magician.
If I survive this, she thought to herself, may I need never be this feckless again.
She had left her home in its usual state of disarray and boarded the sleeping car express to where she was expected, and was now merely a five-minute walk away from the castle gates. This was the place she could not be more indifferent to; her run-down forest home was where her heart remained, contained safely within the pages of an old book filled with pictures of that English city she loved so dearly.
Perhaps, she thought, I will pack my things and leave that damned place. I will live among the humans, and I will be happy.
Before she could finish her thoughts, the doors of that castle loomed over her, and she found herself next to another, definitely taller individual who was doubtless either the shop-boy or another one of those quest folk.

Battlefield had reached the castle doors, when he saw that someone was standing next to him.
"Good morning," he said to them in greeting. "Did you happen to receive a letter about a "important quest in regards to the safety of the world"?"
Bellstar watched as another of her guests arrived. She recognized her as the magician, Anne Azarola. Good. The more, the merrier. She waited for the others to arrive.

Annick turned to the tall person and looked them up and down.
'Whey aye.' she said curtly. 'A' did.'
She stopped and looked him up and down again.
'Yer was an army chief. Y's 'ave a sound missus 'o lives far away. Yer 'alf-daemon. Y's ate broccoli fer scran yester-dee.' She looked him in the eye. ' 'ope it wern't one'a those train dinners. D' tastes like trabs. Oh. An' yer shirt smells funny.'
Her voice never once shifted from anything but disinterested monotone, but either way she was now finished and back to staring up at the door, secretly willing it to open.

Battlefield simply stared back at the smaller mare, not sure how to respond. He was suprised about how fast she had deduced a few things about him just by looking.
"Okay," he finally said. "Your very observant. I'm Battlefield, by the way."

' 'n a'm Annick. Sharts f'r Anne.' she answered, as politeness dictated. At least, until she realised the silliness of what she just said. 'Or longer. Dependin'.' A moment taken to ponder. 'S'longer'n Anne, shorter'n Azarola...atwixt both, then.'
She turned back to the door, only to be hit with realisation midway. 'I just decided.' she spoke up. 'I don' like yer name, Mist' Ba'lefield. It makes me thin' o' poin'lessly violent things. I dislike poin'lessness an' violence a' the best'a times, but both in d' same is jis' ridiculous.'

"Well, everyone has a right to thier own opinion," replied Battlefield, trying to be polite. "But the fact is, that is the name my parents gave me. I'm a nice guy, once you get to knwo me."

'A'm sure, sir.' Annick replied. 'P'r'aps weor I w'nt ta childish humour, I w'd insult y'further - but that w'd mean doubtin' yer mother's honour.'
A moment of silence. She fumbled around in her coat pockets for her letter that was now dog-eared and crumpled.
'A Lady Bellstar.' she read aloud. 'Strange name. Wha's a bell-star? Y's can't keep a star under a bell. Y's wudd'n see a th'n. Ev'n a bell-jar wudd'n be able ter move 'igher than it is, f'r d' slightest gap would let it fly away. Y's can keep d' inna tin, but d'n d're 'idd'n, and d' wither and die, 'cos stars aisy addicted ter attention. In me experience, y's should keep d'm in sealed jars.' She stopped, perhaps for breath, perhaps for a thought; but either way, it was a long time before she spoke again.
