All I can say is EPIC FAIL. I have said I will not work on this. Hasbro, most schools do not allow the cloths being worn. Pinkie Looks like she is in preschool, not high school.

This looks like it should be a fanfiction of some kind. I can list so many better ideas then this.
1) Once believed to be a myth, the great Flow of Magic appears in the sky. As Ponykind celebrates the miracle, Twilight realizes something is wrong with the Flow. She couldn't be more right. Earthlings lose their tie to the earth, Pegasi lose their ability to fly, and Unicorns lose their magic almost overnight. Celestia, who reveals she is dying because of her connection to the Flow, has no answers, but Luna recalls an ancient legend about a Guardian of Magic sealed within the once great city of Tambelon. Twilight and her friends set out on their desperate mission to save all of Equestria.
Luna isn't dying because her own connection to the Flow was shattered when she became Nightmare Moon. This idea opens up tons of possibilities like Equestria being the new world after the collapse of the old world, Equinova. It also gives an opening for Celestia and Luna's back story. I'll list my other ideas later.

I would actually prefer it if any theatrical releases were not about Equestria or the Mane 6. That would mean they wouldn't have to worry about the movies and show stepping on each others' toes. Hasbro would also like it if the movies started a new set of ponies to sell.
With some alterations for trademarking purposes, Arachnis the Captor would be a thousand times better than this.

Hasbro has said this is an attempt to make MLP appeal to the teen/tween girl demographic which seems to be the only age group Friendship is Magic doesn't appeal to.
I've said this before and I'll say it again. If your strategy to pull a certain target group to a product is to go back on the very foundation of that product's concept, then that target group is not worth going after. You're more likely to alienate the fanbase you have than attract this new one.
Why use MLP like this? You have Jem and the Holograms. You recently paid to make sure all the trademarks are up to date. Use them to rope in the teens and tweens.

At least they're not using the core show for this.
While Jem and the Holograms would be the infinitely better choice, they haven't been big in a long time.

I would love to do a Gobots show myself. I can make it entirely different from the Transformers line too.
Hasbro is setting itself up for a painful fall. Maybe I should reconsider Disney's offer.
There is always the very, very, slim chance that this could end up surprising us.

I don't know if it will be a painful fall given Hasbro's size especially if they isolate Equestria Girls from the rest of MLP. However, Equestria Girls looks like a bad idea. I mean, Twilight is randomly transformed into a human and meets AU versions of the others? She's for some reason going to retrieve a Crystal Empire artifact instead of its new princess or prince? She's going to randomly enroll at a high school to have school time antics? This screams contrived and not well thought out.
I would like to see a second My Little Pony series on the Hub or My Little Pony movies in theaters. However, they should be My Little Pony.

Do you always have to be such a doomsayer, sunstar? Granted, Equestria Girls is a bad idea, but every company makes bad calls. This sounds more like an isolated incident than something that'll ruin the company. If it doesn't work, then they'll just stop the project and take their money elsewhere.
I'm not going to try to tell you what to do with your ghostwriting career, but would Disney really be a better place to go? I've often flipped through Disney's various TV channels there is literally NOTHING good on any of them. Hasbro puts out a lot better material than Disney does.

I wonder if this is an excuse to try to out do Monster High People have been saying that for months. At least it's a little more subtle than Bratzillas.

Maybe we could create an alternative between us for the tweens, and pitch it to them.
